So what about this hdd option what is this all about?
What if we join in with Storj regarding this part? I’ve been running their node for few days now on Docker… maybe eventually when they have a working client version we could somehow implement it as part of the Boid App. It’s quite an interesting project.
Storj is really designed for machines with perfect uptime and very high capacity. It could be something the validators could run but likely a waste of time for normal users.

We have plans for a custom implemention using IPFS however the profitability will be much less than the other integrations.
